The label that broke Ghostpoet looks set to do the same with jazzy MC Diggs Duke, whose piano-powered raps first appeared in 2012 on BamaLoveSoul’s ‘On Deck’ compilation. Bongo-laden single ‘Harsh Words With the Oracle’ kicks things off in adventurous style and the pace never drops: psychedelic wine bar grooves on ‘Sweat Like Sieves’, frisky horns and a cappella on ‘Lion’s Feast’, and guitar-led funk on the spaced-out ‘Cause I Love You’.
