Fakir Trio - Le temps de l'orage (2026) [Hi-Res]

The trio Fakir consists of violinist Marwan Fakir, guitarist and saz player Louis Desseigne, and double bassist Pierre-Antoine Despatures. The musicians alternately tame and confront one another, drawing a sound map of the imaginary territories where their playing seems to take place. The borders of those lands are marked out under the scorching heat of a merciless amplifier. At the core of the sound are Maghrebi trances, feverish grooves and heart-rending maqams, which in their hands take on a dreamlike quality, bringing together a surge of freedom and millennia-old traditions.
