"Christoph Siegrist started playing trumpet at age five. He began playing in various bands from age nine on, gradually also forming his own groups. He worked briefly with Harald Haerter and has played with numerous renowned Swiss Jazz musicians like Isla Eckinger, Roman Schwaller, Bänz Oester, Marcel Papaux, etc.
In 2004, the Christoph Siegrist Group won the Montreux Jazz Festival Chrysler Award, an international competition with over 200 participating bands. The price included a performance at the following years edition of the Festival at the main Casino Hall where the group had a double bill share with guitarist Al Di Meola.
After studying two years at the Swiss Jazz School Bern, Christoph Siegrist received a scholarship from the New School in New York where he has been living since 2007. There, he played in ensembles led by Reggie Workman, Billy Harper, and was featured as Solo trumpet in the New School Jazz Orchestra under direction of Charles Tolliver, performing at Dizzys Club at Lincoln Center among other venues. Completing his BFA (Bachelor) Degree in 2009, he is currently working on his Master Degree at New York University.
While in New York, Christoph Siegrist already had the opportunity to play and/or record with some of his favourite musicians including Al Foster, John Scofield, Joe Lovano, Chris Potter and Gil Goldstein."

Christoph Siegrist (trumpet), Mark Turner (tenor sax), Joshua Kwassman (alto sax only on #2 & 7), Aruan Ortiz (piano, piano & Rhodes on #4 & 7), Massimo Biolcati (bass), Richie Barshay (drums & percussion).
