Jacqui Wicks - Vintage (2009)

You may be familiar with Miss Wicks from her work with the Sex Patel's, she has now released her own album of classics from such artist's as Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, put together in her own unique style.

Listening to this album the first few times bought images of the 40s and 50s to mind, so the album title Vintage seems very appropriate. After listening to the first couple of tracks, I could tell that this album had been put together with the experience of life, a love for music, detail and production. The vocals are first class and the musicianship compliments this perfectly into one of this years must hear albums.
