Earth Boys aka Julian Duron and Michael Sherburn pay homage to the West coast on this LP starting in Northern California with thick, swirling opening track ‘Sonoma’ - a stripped back, sultry dubby number with just enough pace. Blending pool-side sax with steely percussion and vocals drenched in the day’s last golden moments. Sugary ‘I Just Love It With You’ is a loved-up house cut blooming with warmth - one to serenade your lover, friend, dog with. On the flip, ‘Mushroom Cloud’ takes the b-side into trippier, groovy territory. Float away on the cloud, through shimmery pads, exotic percussion and classic vox lines. Understated ‘Amazon Prime Jungle’ is a sleepy, dreamy jungle roller that delivers on all fronts. More sax laced, beach-front feels come courtesy of title track ‘Earth Tones’, an easy going, lush sundowner to soothe your soul. C2 ‘Battery Boys’ is a real beauty, keys tinkle against the amazonian backdrop in this nature inspired number. ‘On A Limb’ is a ‘softly, softly’ track - electronics tickle a 4/4 beat on this real nice cut - DJ tool tip!
