Lillerne #121 is a stunning collaboration between John Jones (AV Moves, Geo Rip) and Jesse Sappell (Motion Ward). “1” finds the LA duo exploring the depths and many hidden corners within and between immersive rhythm and melody. The tracks on “1” are appropriately expansive and ripe for this exploration, but each piece of texture, air, a voice, a clang etc is supported and balanced perfectly by its surroundings. As lush and graceful as it is moody and rhythmic, “1” is easily one of the most complex and interesting collections of tracks I’ve heard in a long time. As dynamic as it feels, it remains cohesive and truly transcendent. Edition of 50 pro-dubbed cassettes with full-color, double-sided artwork.
