Young Russian pianist Liudmila Georgievskaya makes her recording debut on the Odradek label, presenting two of the great cycles of piano variations - Beethoven’s “Eroica” Variations and Schumann’s Symphonic Etudes - in refined and attentive interpretations, at once personal and objective. Liudmila Georgievskaya has performed in Russia, Italy, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, England, Hungary, Panama, and in the United States. She has taken part in several European piano and music festivals, and her performances have been broadcast on radio and television in her native country, and elsewhere in Europe. A multi-prize-winning pianist, she has also appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras around the world. Ms. Georgievskaya graduated with Honours from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2001. Her piano teachers included Tatiana Galitskaya and Liudmila Roschina, both former students of the legendary pianist and composer Samuel Feinberg. In 2008, she completed a post-graduate course in piano performance at the Santa Cecilia National Music Academy in Rome. During three years in Italy, she gave more than fifty recitals throughout the country.

On being awarded a Meadows Artistic Scholarship, Georgievskaya moved to Dallas, Texas, where in 2010 she received her Artist Certificate at Southern Methodist University under the guidance of acclaimed pianist Joaquín Achúcarro. She is now on the faculty of Southern Methodist University while continuing her concert career throughout Europe and in the Americas.
