“Quintessential-The essence of a thing in it’s purest and most concentrated form. ” -Merriam Websters Dictionary
At this point in my life, music is a part of everything that I do. This compilation of works consists of pieces that I feel showcase my unique musical palette.
As a fan of most traditional musical styles, I have endeavored to include elements of the things I like in my own musical style and statement. My connotation of jazz is music that exists in a free or structured form; allowing one to freely express themself in an uninhibited, artistic manner.
As an artist, I have never been a fan of labeling or categorizing my material. Instead I prefer to simply write music and let the listener decide how the music affects them. “I’m Just a conduit, & I enjoy bringing the music to you.”
These songs represent an expression of musical thought (that came to me from a much higher place than either you or I have ever seen) that manifest themselves by means of the creative minds and skillfulfingers of the musicians on this session. Thank you for listening and supporting.
