The Reunionese flutist and composer Christophe Zoogones has always been inspired by the gospel he sang in his childhood, the jazz-rock of the Headhunters or the Weather Report of which he has used the records, the world of jazz as a whole that he studied at the CIM, then at the Paris Conservatory (CRR), and finally the maloya (Reunionese music which claims Creole). In 2015, his first album: “Kind Of Zoo” recorded in Reunion Island, achieved a relevant fusion between maloya and jazz-rock. Five years later, Christophe Zoogones presents his new project: "Zoology", where the orchestration is identical to the previous album: a quartet with flute, piano, electric bass and drums, but where the musicians are different and offer music. which evolves towards new horizons.
