Carl Ferris - Out Of This World (2000)

Born in Geneva, New York, Carl has been involved with music all of his life. He was recognized for his vocal abilities at an early age at the Eastman School of Music and later began playing the saxophone at the age of 10. Carl is self taught on the guitar, keyboards, flute, harmonica and has been writing and performing since his mid-teens.

After 18 years of performing with various bands and sharing the stage in South Florida with the likes of Jaco Pastorius, Dave Mason, ELO, Toto, Edgar Winter and the Marshall Tucker Band, Carl moved his unique talents to Las Vegas. As both a solo artist and with his band, Carl has appeared at well recognized Las Vegas locations including Caesars Palace, New York-New York Hotel & Casino, Aladdin Resort & Casino and many more; however his is best known for his nightly performances over the past twelve years at the Fremont Street Experience.

Carl's first self-released CD, OUT OF THIS WORLD (2000) was a blend of vocals, saxophone and flute instrumentals...all written and performed by Carl. His next three releases, MOUTH FULL OF SAX (2002), ALL BLOWN OUT (2005), PROMISES (2009) and his most recent release EVOLUTION (2010) are all original soprano, alto and tenor saxophone compositions in answer to his fans requests for more of his unique blend of jazz, soul, reggae and rock. CHRISTMAS (2011) is a mix of both original holiday songs and traditional favorites. Most of Carl's original songs include vocals to celebrate the season, with traditional songs showcasing some unique instrumental twists.
