Despite his popularity, many of Satie’s works remain unknown and underestimated. This music was written for a drama set in 3,500 BC in Chaldea, Babylonia and Satie composed a series of distinct sound sequences, creating a kaleidoscope of colours and spatial illusions. Alexei Lubimov was born in Moscow in 1944 and one of the most original musicians performing today. He is performing on a 1899 Bechstein.
