J. Geils Band - The Morning After (1971) [2020 SACD]

It's rare when a group's sophomore effort is as good as their debut. The Morning After by the J. Geils Band is that, and in some ways, even better. Tighter and more focused than their debut, the band found success on the singles charts with "Looking for a Love." Again, they laid original material alongside blues covers, but the sound was always their own – exciting, enjoyable rocking blues.
