Upcoming album “More Morricone” was conceived and produced by Pierre Darmon and Bonsaï Music.
It is a duo album that Giovanni Ceccarelli recorded with his longtime friend and music companion, bass player Ferruccio Spinetti.
The album was recorded at the end of 2019, a passionate, devoted, and respectful rendition of Ennio Morricone’s music, a giant in contemporary music and probably the greatest Italian composer of our time.
Very sadly Morricone passed away a few weeks ago.
Belgian vocalist Chrystel Wautier sang in some of the album’s tracks. Massimo Cardinaletti, a film music expert and a close friend of Morricone, gave an important contribution in choosing the repertoire.
Ferruccio Spinetti – double bass, electric bass, acoustic guitar, bouzouki
Giovanni Ceccarelli – piano, rhodes piano, wurlitzer piano, toy piano, clavietta, synthesizer, alto and soprano recorders, jew’s harp
guest artist:
Chrystel Wautier – vocals, whistle
