Stonebolt is a Canadian rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia. Their sound also included elements of pop and country.
In the late '60s, guitarist Roy Roper and drummer Brian Lousley formed the band Perth Amboy with bassist Danny Atchison. After changing their name to Stonebolt, the trio recruited keyboard player Jon Webster and vocalist David Wills. Stonebolt played around their home of Vancouver for almost ten years before Parachute Records signed them in 1977. The group's self-titled debut album was released the following year; when Parachute folded, RCA signed them and issued Keep It Alive in 1980.
