Our double CD of Messiah is a live recording of the complete work, compiled from the Choir’s Friday and Saturday performances in December 2010.
There is a well-established tradition among choirs of omitting some items in order to limit the duration of concerts. In 2010 the choir omitted different items on Friday and Saturday so that over both nights we performed every recitative, aria, and chorus. The double CD of the complete Messiah is available to purchase. Download Order Form.

These concerts were special for us as they were our last performances of Messiah under the baton of Matthew Bale, who retired in July 2011 after 46 performances of Messiah over a period of 23 years.

Proceeds from the sale of these discs are being used to support Off the Record, a local charity that offers confidential and independent help and advice to under-25-year-olds who have family, financial, relationship, or any other difficulties. www.offtherecord-banes.co.uk

CDs can also be ordered through any member of the Choir or from Bath Abbey Bookshop at £10 per copy, or by Post.
