Martynas Šerpytis - MARTY'S EXPERIMENT CLUB (2026)

Founded in 2025, the sextet Marty’s Experiment Club brings together alto saxophonist and composer Martynas Šerpytis, guitarist and electronics player Noah Kilbuck, pianist Jakub Letkiewicz, bass guitarist Franek Wicke, electronics player Józef Biegański (triggered effects, live processing) and drummer-percussionist Stachu Banyś. The band plays modern jazz, folk and experimental music, aiming to merge sounds, culture, emotion, melodies and energy into music that reaches people.

The musicians focus on the process itself: finding new sounds, attending to small moments, and experimenting with electronics and effects, odd phrasing and odd meters, free improvisation, and reaction and interaction between each other while performing. Emotional honesty is central: a melody can feel intimate and exposed one moment, then erupt into raw collective energy the next. Beneath the spontaneity lies a subtle sense of form and preparation that gently shapes the journey and lets freedom exist within a shared direction. This balance of heart and instinct makes the music feel alive, personal and deeply human.
