A trio of gypsy jazz virtuosos featuring guitarists Angelo Debarre and Adrien Moignard alongside double bassist William Brunard presents the third volume of their collaborative project, Django Celebration. Angelo Debarre, who has shaped the evolution of manouche guitar technique since the 1980s, joins forces with Adrien Moignard, known for his harmonic refinement, and skilled accompanist William Brunard to explore over fifty years of the genre's history. Drawing inspiration from the jam sessions at the famous Django Reinhardt festival, the ensemble blends original compositions such as Compartiment Swing, Will Blues, Oyana, and Tangogelo with reinterpreted classics by Django Reinhardt, including a deeply emotional rendition of the standard Autumn Leaves. The project balances masterly improvisation, nuanced arrangements, and the vibrant ongoing evolution of acoustic jazz.
