The Tobias Tammearu Trio was born thanks to the International Music Day 2019, when Tobias was offered to be part of the Music Day program. There was a need for enough mobile ensemble to perform in three places in four hours. There was an opportunity to fulfill one of his dreams and the boat jumped on Robert Rebane's bass and Martin Petermann's drums. When creating and playing a new creation, many new perspectives and questions arose, so the Trio was not just a project.

The goal of TTT is to eliminate stereotypical roles in the musical ensemble with its music, creating absolute equality, unified breathing and putting oneself in unusual situations as a saxophonist, bassist or drummer. There is air and beauty in their music, but at another moment there is rebellion and confusion. But the running line can be considered the rule: "Don't assume, let the music guide you."

Tobias Tammearu is a prominent saxophonist of the younger generation, who has designed his studies under the name of Heino Eller. Tartu Music School, Georg Ots. Tallinn Music School as well as Amsterdam Conservatory. Tobias is active in ensembles such as the New Wind Jazz Orchestra, Ramuel Tafenau's "Gather Around", Johannes Laasi 5tetis, Pillikud and Jake Victor Twisted Heads (USA / BEL / SPA / EST), with whom he won the 2018 music edition Downbeat Award.

Growing up in a family of actors, people are always at the center of music for Tobias, rather than musical material. That's why Robert Rebane was invited to the trip, with whom he studied in Amsterdam and Martin Petermann, who has established himself in genres other than jazz, but gives a completely unique connotation to playing together.

On October 2, Tobias Tammearu Trio will present their debut album "Bivium" for the first time!
