Analekta is very proud to present J.S. Bach : Inventions et Sinfonias, the second album of young pianist Karin Kei Nagano, daughter of maestro Kent Nagano and pianist Mari Kodama. These magnificent inventions embody melodic dialogues of such genius in a wide range of musical styles and continue to inspire and challenge today's pianists three centuries after their creation. Under the gifted touch of Karin Kei Nagano, a fascinating musical conversation takes place, gradually exposing the structural, emotional and spiritual beauty of these works. Born in Berkeley, California in 1998, Karin Kei Nagano began studying piano at the age of three and has worked with a number of internationally celebrated pianists. She currently studies with Rita Wagner and Peter Frankl. Her first album was critically-acclaimed: "She is a model of interpretative responsibility, full of exquisite playing... hugely witty and brimming with personality." (Gramophone)
