Collapse Under The Empire celebrated their 10th anniversary with the triple LP box "The End of Something" last year. On their new album "Everything We Will Leave Beyond Us" they complete the story that they started in 2009 and at the same time open a new chapter. All their albums / EPs, starting with "Systembreakdown" (2009), report on a world full of conflicts, crises, catastrophes, death, isolation, longings and freedom. The two musicians could not have imagined that much of this would become reality just 10 years later. With the charity single "A New Beginning", the band donates all proceeds to the German Red Cross, which is fighting the global corona crisis. With their 8th album, Collapse Under The Empire describe a dark world that is out of control - coronavirus, environmental destruction, human greed, injustice, exploitation, poverty, war and resistance. The eight tracks describe this in dark soundscapes, apocalyptic guitars and epic synth sounds, which turn the songs into mountains of sound. The new album is thematically no longer a utopia, but a bitter reality. One can only hope that people will survive the current crises and, above all, learn from them. What the future will bring remains to be seen.
