Isserley - Hardcore (2020)

Isserley spews out eight archival tracks from the gutters of Bristol. 'Hardcore' by name and nature, opener 'Hardcore 1' is pure DBX-gone-phet. Bleeping tremors amongst a stripped out line of hard tape drums. 'Hardcore 18' cleans up it's act and drops the tempo some with rubber lipped lines drawn over more spacious but still intense beats. 'Hardcore 51' hasn't slept well at all, twitching and itchy hardcore smattered with clasping metal and beautifully tamed feedback melodies. The floor drops out with 'Untitled 110-161' where fidelity looses it's battle against the mixers red line. Beginning with a barren kick against a crumbling wall it slowly gathers form into a bouncing chug of simple means but devestating potential... and then the dials are turned up. Faster and faster into pure strobe zones.
