Virginia Maestro is not an ordinary singer-songwriter. She's as influenced by the big names in Soul and Blues as she is by the many faces of pop and jazz. These cross-cultural, pan-generational inspirations have had a significant impact on the Spanish music scene that helped her develop a well established profile. Throughout her career, starting in 2008, Virginia has been inspired by, but have always created something new out of her musical influences and with her latest effort, 'Del Sur' (2019), her second work together recorded in Nashville together with Colin Linden (Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris) she shapes the new feel for Spanish Americana. She has released 5 albums and 1 EP over a 12 years professional career, has also peaked at #2 in the Spanish General Charts with two of her releases, won 'Operación Triunfo' (Spain's biggest talent TV show) and has tour intensively in Spain, but has also done shows in England and in the US. Additionally, her surprising multifaceted talent has taken her to co-produce a few albums, compose for some Spain's biggest artists, like Raphael, and even win an award for a short-movie score she wrote.
