Mayor Mcca (born as Christian Anderson Smith) is a Canadian musician, cartoonist and onetime mayoral candidate from Hamilton, Ontario. He mostly performs as a one-man band, with occasional tap-dancing breaks. One of Mcca's campaign pledges was to rename Hamilton as the home of Canadian Rock n' Roll, Donut Rock City (a riff on Hamilton being the home of the first Tim Horton's store). Mcca lost, polling 9th out of 12 candidates. Mayor Mcca currently lives and performes in London, England. He has been written about in books (Around The World In 57 Gigs) and featured in films (Let Me Be Your Band, Why Girls). He has also been covered by 0ver 30 different artists including alt-country darling Sarah Harmer and U.S. platinum selling rockers Finger Eleven. Tour slots opening for the likes of Feist, Queens Of The Stone Age's Nick Oliveri, Noisettes,Sum 41, Regina Spektor, Foals, Jack Johnson and fellow musician/comic book artist Daniel Johnston.
