Barney Bentall And The Legendary Hearts - Ain't Life Strange (1992)

Although Vancouver's Barney Bentall took a leisurely nine months to piece together this third album, Ain't Life Strange has more spontaneous grit and spark to it than his previous releases. While the overall feel and sound of the album is right, Ain't Life Strange is unfortunately marred by several forgettable songs that come across as throwaway tracks. Bentall has one half of the equation down cold. For the next outing, he might want to consider some objective, outside input on song selection.
