Capella Duriensis & Jonathan Ayerst - Portuguese Vocal Masterpieces of the 16th & 17th Centuries, Vol. 1 (2015) [Hi-Res]

The repertoire on this recording spans over a century, from the earliest Portuguese polyphony of the Missa ‘Orbis Factor’ and Franco-Flemish influences in the motets of Damião de Góis, to the music of the ‘Golden Age’ and the only two surviving sacred motets of Duarte Lobo. Capella Duriensis is a young Portuguese vocal ensemble with a growing reputation as international ambassadors of Portuguese music. This is the first of three volumes of Portuguese Vocal Masterpieces of the 16th and 17th centuries.
