Esencial es el título de un álbum recopilatorio de Ana Torroja, publicado a finales de 2004 en Latinoamérica en el que se recogen los que a su juicio son sus mejores temas en solitario, fuera del grupo Mecano.
This album is definitely the best of the best not only of Ana Torroja but of music in Spanish as well.
Oddly enough, Ana Torroja is not well known yet in non Spanish-speaking countries (with the exception of France), in spite of her long successful career in Spain and Latin America.
The tracks included in this cd are well known among his fans but it also includes two special tracks in French (one of them with international superstar Patrick Bruel) that were included in her full French-speaking album released a few years ago.
