Performers:
Huddersfield Choral Society
Conducted by Joseph Cullen

25 traditional hymns, sung in rousing Huddersfield style, with descants and arrangements by Joseph Cullen and Darius Battiwalla. Hymns have been around in one form or another for as long as people have gathered together in a formal manner to worship, praise, marry or mourn. No better expression of the joy engendered by a goodly number of voices singing hymns may be found than in the grand forces of the Huddersfield Choral Society. Conducted by Joseph Cullen, with Darius Battiwalla (organ). Some tracks also feature brass arrangements, and members of the Huddersfield Choral Society Junior Choirs. Recorded in Huddersfield Town Hall in January 2006.
