Brian Henneman released a solo single called Indianapolis in 1992. When that single garnered a record deal, Brian formed the Bottle Rockets together with Tom Parr, Tom Ray & Mark Ortmann (for the most part, re-assembling Chicken Truck and reviving much of that band's repertoire).
The 3rd album "24 Hours A Day was released under the label Atlantic Records.
Tom Ray left the band in 1997.
On the album Brand New Year the new member Robert Kearns plays the bass guitar.
In 2001 the band signed a record deal with Bloodshot Records.
The first release under Bloodshot Records was Songs Of Sahm. It was a tribute to Doug Sahm (Sir Douglas Quintet).
John Horton replaced Tom Parr in 2003
Robert Kearns left the band in March 2005 and was replaced by Keith Voegele.
