This album is opened and closed in a very unusual way because so many people seldom read liner notes ... Listen ………. My mother named me Isaac and some people call me Redd, but for the last couple of years my fans and friends have often said, “That’s Ms. Mary’s child, the Spiritual Leader from Rosedale, Mississippi.” For those of you who remember, yes I am the percussionist who for thirteen years wasa co-partner with Ramsey Lewis and Eldee Young of the original Ramsey Lewis trio. Those years are best remembered for the hit recording of “In Crowd”. The next eight years were spent as co-leader of Young - Holt Unlimited, With the hit “Soulful Strut.”
To me, this album is the most important recording of my life. I am able with and thru these young musicians to channel all of my energy toward letting you hear the real isaac.

Isaac the Musician . . . . . Isaac the Philosopher . . . .. isaac the Poet. I have never before felt so spiritually motivated, it is rewarding. Those of you who listen with an open heart and open mind………. may you go forth upon the face of this Universe and spread Joy, Joy, Joy. Those of you who listen only to criticize . . . . . may something touch you deep down inside that you may have a change of heart. Remember these musicians somewhere along the way, (please listen very closely to the tune entitled “Hey Takers”). Remember music is in the air … music is you … music is me … music is all of us … music is everywhere so peace be unto you and may God bless you.
