Truly great album from seven great singers. Blue Murder is Jim Boyes, Eliza Carthy, Martin Carthy, Barry Coope, Lester Simpson, Mike Waterson and Norma Waterson. When Waterson:Carthy decided to get together with Watersons founder, Mike Waterson and the wonderful Coope, Boyes & Simpson for a sing around, the results were so exhilarating that they just had to share it with a series of live performances. They called themselves Blue Murder. They were so successful that an album was the next logical step, and No One Stands Alone was released in 2002 to huge interest and sales. The album has continued to be a good selling album at full price since them. With the recent success of Waterson:Carthy's 'Holy Heathens And The Old Green Man' and the renewed interest in harmony singing as reflected in such groups as The Devil's Interval.
