The aficionados of the label Third Man Records have certainly fallen in love with the group The Black Belles. Behind this formation hides a musician for the less charismatic by the name of Olivia Jean who possesses a sacred talent. This time, she presents a new solo project with April March, whom you know because of his cult “Chick Habit” (present on Tarantino's film “Death Proof”) with a collaborative EP called of Palladium.
Here, Olivia Jean and April March will lend a hand by covering a single and unique piece under three musical styles each in turn. We manage to detect "Allons-y", "Sauce Piquante" and "Petite Voyoute" which are interpreted by April March and Olivia Jean who transcribes them in English with "Let's Go", "Hot Sauce" and "Punkette" with her arrangements surf-garage and yé-yé that go with it. A beautiful exercise in style and a good breath of fresh musical air, this Palladium will awaken those eternally nostalgic for the 1960s.
