This new release from Tove K is unlike any album she has made before. Her first album in English, it differs in both form and expression from her previous work. “I met Peder Khellsby,” she explains, and believes that actually that could have been the album title. Peder Kjellsby (FRIKO) has produced “Paying the Birds to Sing,” and the recording is done with a bunch of Norwary’s finest pop and jazz musicians, including Andreas Ulvo, Per Oddvar Johansen, Even Helte Hermansen, Sondre Meisfjord, and Kjetil Grande. Norwegian singer/songwriter Tove K is known for her strong melodic compositions, where her voice drags the listener into her charming, vulnerable poetry. She is also an actress who has appeared on several Norwegian television shows.
