Bernardo Monk's seventh record will be with his orchestra again. It will be titled Mago: journey to the Gardel universe and includes, in its entirety, compositions by Morocho del Abasto, namely: Por una cabeza, Volver, Golondrinas, Arrabal amargo, The day you love me, My beloved Buenos Aires, Far land of mine / Student loves and Criollita I said yes. All in co-authorship with Alfredo Le Pera, plus the contribution of Mario Battistella in Student Loves.

The Bernardo Monk Orchestra is made up of its leader in alto and soprano saxophones, arrangements and conducting, Guillermo Rubino and Juan Bautista Bringas on violin, Paula Pomeraniec on cello, Daniel Ruggiero and Emiliano Guerrero on bandoneon, Adrián Enríquez on piano and Martín Wainer on double bass. .

The album was recorded at Estudio Insigno (Buenos Aires) on March 19 and 20, 2020, the recording engineering was in charge of Hernán Ascóniga and Ariel Schujman, the editing corresponded to Ariel Feder, mixing and mastering (in El Cerrito Studios, CA, USA) to Oscar Autie, the production assistance was the responsibility of Kenya Autie and the cover art and design, the work of Machi Mendieta and Hugo Horita.
