Third album by the Salento pianist and composer Irene Scardia, released by the Workin 'Label. After a long creative break in the period between the release of the album "Risvegli" and 2019, Irene Scardia finds her creative momentum and returns to write new songs. Life opportunities, encounters and relationships, in addition to the interest in knowledge and the harmonious development of the self, become ideas for creation. In writing the songs, the pianist recounts her days, photographs moments of life, describes her emotions, desires and aspirations. Inspired by Virginia Wolf who in the essay "A room of her own" argues that a woman needs a space of her own and an annual income to create, the author makes this motto her own and encloses the new compositions in an album entitled “A Room All For Me”. Coming from a classical training, Irene Scardia composes drawing on different musical influences, from contemporary minimalism to jazz with openings to the most refined pop, giving life to a personal style that escapes a precise definition of genre, perceptible as strongly lyrical, cinematic and of great emotional impact. The disc contains 11 original compositions and is played in trio together with the double bass player Giampaolo Laurentaci and the drummer Filippo Bubbico who also took care of the mix and the master of the entire disc. Participants in the recordings: the vibraphonist Giacomo Riggi who duets with the pianist in the title track, the flutist Clara Calignano and the cellist Claudia Fiore interpreting the song "Clara" and the singer Carolina Bubbico, interpreter and author of the text of the song "Prima Del Volo "Previously published in instrumental version in the album" Risvegli ".
