For years, the Transorient Orchestra has stood for a fusion of musical cultures that could probably only be that could only be created in the Ruhr area. Twelve musicians from Germany, Turkey, Iran, Tunisia and Syria have joined forces to create a dazzling blend of oriental melodies and rhythms Rhythms of the Orient with Western harmonies and jazzy improvisation.
