Gerd Baumann - Pelikula (2021)

Everyone is a master of his trade. Both as a composer and as an instrumentalist. "Pelikula" now shows for the first time on CD and vinyl how beautiful, delicate and yet haunting it sounds when the high-flyer duo Gerd Baumann and Gregor Hübner play together compositionally and playfully.

Her involvement as a musician in the production of Botho Strauss' piece “Ein Leichtes Spiel. Nine People from a Woman ”brought the two together at the Munich Residenztheater in 2009. Since then they have been working together very successfully, initiating new music projects and creating musical highlights, including in 2010 for the music of the award-winning film "Die Midamme - Auf Leben und Tod", a German-Austrian co-production directed by Dagmar Hirtz starring the actress Brigitte Hobmeier. This sometimes very moving film music by Baumann and Hübner, which congenially follows the dramatic plot, is the creative starting point for their further work on “Pelikula”.
