Ya Voy - Miraflores (2026) [Hi-Res]

Colombian singer and percussionist Alejandra Charry has long explored the vocal techniques, forms, and ancestral rhythms of her country’s traditional music. Rather than preserving them untouched, she transforms them in unexpected ways, working with some of the boldest jazz musicians of the young European scene. Her partner, French double bassist Thibault Cellier, lives and breathes jazz and improvised music and is constantly driven to reinvent musical traditions.

Together they formed a quartet that includes tenor saxophonist Sakina Abdou and Moises Zamora Mezu, who plays chonta marimba (a traditional Colombian instrument) and percussion. Their shared aim is to push one step further the universal utopia carried by each of their cultural backgrounds: to build new bridges between the lyricism and expressive freedom of contemporary neo-free jazz and a heritage rooted in dance, trance, and melodies from around the world.
