Thomas Agergaard - Genius Loci - Drawn Towards the Deep (2026)

“Gravity of the Deep” is an innovative musical work by Thomas Agergaard that combines improvisation, choral arrangements, and live electronics. The project is a sensory exploration of the ocean’s physical power. Agergaard draws significant inspiration from Mass for the Sea and the historic 1811 shipwreck in which HMS St. George and HMS Defence sank off the coast of Thorsminde. In this performance, Agergaard explores how humans perceive the depths of the sea. Ultimately, he emphasizes our shared responsibility to protect marine life.
