Thoughts, stories and reflections about confinement give life to the eight songs that make up “Encerra’o con el Swing”, the first album by Chilean singer-songwriter Gablú. It is a production full of arrangements, which stands out for its instrumental variety and for its close lyrics and melodies.

Gablú is a project that emerged in Santiago in 2020 from the hand of Gabriel “Gablú” Olivos (lead voice, banjo, guitar). Together with him, there is a band of four musicians composed of Rodolfo “Reno” Baez (main guitar, backing vocals, second voices), Nicolás Lacrampette (clarinet), Anuar Armazan (drums) and Cristian Cavieres (bass), who provide him with a dynamic fluid and full of virtuosity to this album.

Bluse songs with nods to the modern and an interpretation that is close to folk are part of the backbone of “Encerra’o con el Swing”. In this album, Gablú invites you to an inner journey that begins with light and happy compositions. It continues with a reflective intermission, with minor notes and an instrumental atmosphere, to give way to an epic and nostalgic ending where synthetic bronzes appear.

As for the lyric, Gablú addresses contingent themes from a novel perspective. An example of this is the song "They treat each other with sweetness", where he criticizes homophobia and any type of discrimination.
