Something's Coming is a Latin-dance record, full of percolating percurssion, gurgling horns, breakbeats and deep bass. As long as Snowboy sticks to original material he's fine. When he delves into ham-fisted rearrangements of songs from West Side Story, a version of The Flintstones theme and "Anarchy in the UK," he gets into trouble. Still, the album works as a good party record -- it just doesn't hold up after the party is finished.
