The band Tristano Unchained lives from the musical class of the five individuals and the special constellation of these personalities: Bossert, Schmid, Rückert, Lennig and Smock - a top-class line-up.

Lennie Tristano developed his own musical language in the 1940s and recorded it in his radical compositions - mostly based on classical jazz standards. Tristano Unchained brings this musical approach into the present and presents new musical portals between current stylistic trends and the classical compositions of the Great American Songbook.
