Experienced, experimental, instrumental and viscerally original, this new trio winds its way to the borders of fierce and playful jazz with totally new orchestrations. Imagined as a wink and a tribute to the album AKAGERA, released in 1980 by the trio Humair, Jeanneau, Texier, this new trio has every intention of digging its own furrow. In 1980, a lioness's head and a lion's head wore the cover, here a striped skin will be the standard. Like their illustrious elders, the Akagera Trio draws its influences from African music (Akagera is the name of a nature reserve in Rwanda, on the Tanzanian border) but also from jazz and contemporary repetitive music.
