Comin' Home Baby Tom Reese - flute, alto flute and pennywhistle Kirk Reese - piano, electric piano, synthesizer Laurie Haines Reese - cello, electric cello Glenn Ferracone - drums, percussion Recorded, mixed and mastered at The Music Center by Glenn Ferracone Produced by Tom Reese and Richard Burton Vectordisc 033 After 20 years on the radio, and with nine albums under their own name. The Reese Project has come up with what should be their breakthrough recording 'Comin' Home Baby'. Flutist/banderleader Tom Reese, his brother Kirk on keyboards, Tom's wife Laurie the cellist who plays bass lines, and longtime collaborator drummer/producer Glenn Ferracone, borrow the steel spine from the Reese's great album 'Blue Etude' from 2000 to reach a rare cathartic truth with these nine tunes. 'Comin' Home Baby' has the clarity, intensified grace, and compressed energy of a true musical masterwork. It is music for a general audience, but as always, with the Reeses, mainlines the jazz aesthetic and adds improvisational energy to keep the music from sounding lazy.
