Immersion - Nanocluster, Vol .1 (2021)

‘Nanocluster Vol. 1’ was born from the Brighton-based club night of the same name, which showcases influential cult acts and cutting-edge newcomers. It involves the duo Immersion (that is, Wire’s Colin Newman and Minimal Compact’s Malka Spigel) who run the Nanocluster night collaborating with fellow duo Tarwater, Tangerine Dream’s Ulrich Schnauss, Scanner’s Robin Rimbaud and Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier, all on three tracks each. All pieces were written and composed in around three days each, giving a sense of freedom and improvisation within loose structure.
