The Lounge Art Ensemble, which consists of Bob Sheppard (saxophones), Dave Carpenter (electric and acoustic bass) and Peter Erskine (playing a cocktail drumset for the entire recording), is dedicated to playing Modern American Music in the horn trio format. “Lava Jazz” celebrates the spirit of American song and swing in this refreshing set of original compositions that pays homage to beloved jazz standards.
