It is not Latin jazz or anything related to the Caribbean. In this work they acoustically mixed Andean music, chacareras, albazos, yumbo and Afro sounds.
However, each of the members contributed their grain of taste for pop, progressive classic rock, swing, waltz or trends from the 80s. “This band gives for everyone,” says Cayo.
On this sixth album, they had as guests the Spanish Giberto Rivero (soprano sax), the Swedish Anders Astrand (vibraphone and marimba), the Venezuelan César González (percussion), the German Ben Kraef (tenor sax) and the Polish Tomasz Dabrowski (trumpet ).
Pies en la Tierra has about 80 songs of its own, on six discs that are very different musically from each other. "We want to globalize what we play and our music is translated into all languages," according to Cayo.
