Rusty Richards - Folk Songs (Digitally Remastered) (2016)

A talented singer and writer of country & western songs, Rusty Richards is a true cowboy who appeared in a plethora of films and TV shows including Rawhide, Wagon Train, Gunsmoke, Bonanza and Have Gun-Will Travel. During his long career in western music, Rusty sang tenor with the Sons of the Pioneers for a span of 20 years, beginning in 1963, and was the group’s first true yodeler since Roy Rogers. Presented here is his fine release for Jimmy Wakely’s Shasta label, “Folks Songs,” which features some of Rusty’s most-loved recorded performances including Quarrels (Are A Sad, Sad Thing),” “Scarlet Ribbons” and “The Convict And The Rose.” All selections newly remastered.
