A great soundtrack for a great movie. Italian director Giuseppe Tornatore (Cinema Paradiso, Malena) teams up again with Ennio Morricone (again) for this movie. It tells the sad story of a widower coming to terms with the reality that his children as not the successful people he thought they were. Morricone's music underlies every moment of the movie with the right tone. This is the kind of music you can listen to over and over. Every song brings back memories of the movie. By the way, don't waste your time watching the American remake starring Robert De Niro. This movie and its music cannot be reinterpreted or remade. They are both perfect. Highly recommended for lovers of great music
