Carmen Vela - Camina (2021)

Madrilenian flutist Carmen Vela presents her first solo work accompanied by a surprising cast of renowned musicians. This album, titled Camina, reflects the constant search of this versatile artist, she feeds on jazz harmonies, Brazilian rhythms and flamenco colors in pieces that surprise for her freshness, elegance and vitality.

Recorded live at Infinity Estudios (Madrid), Camina stands out for its rhythmic play and its harmonic depth, in a personal reflection on the sounds that this versatile instrument, the transverse flute, is discovering.

This quartet is composed of Carmen Vela (transverse flute, composition and arrangements), Julio Martín (piano and Rhodes), Ander García (double bass) and Gonzalo Maestre (drums).
