Matthijs Geerts - Lost in Reverse (2021)

Matthijs Geerts has been a session keyboardist for a number of years and during the Covid-19 pandemic finally found time to work on an album under his own name: Lost in Reverse.
“It is a conceptual album, although each song has a different meaning and is designed differently. I wanted to come up with a new template to connect the acoustic and electronic worlds. At times it is very spherical, and at other times very present. But especially hybrid.”
He was particularly inspired by jazz musicians such as Robert Glasper, James Francies and Chris Potter, “artists who leave a mark on contemporary jazz”.
